Githin and Chippy grew up immersed in the timeless rituals of Kerala’s kitchens, where every spice and every recipe carried the warmth of family and the essence of culture. Their childhood homes, lovingly called tharavadu in Malayalam, were places where meals brought people together and celebrated life’s moments, big and small.

After moving to Australia, Githin and Chippy longed for the authentic flavors of their homeland. Realizing there was a void in truly capturing the soul of Kerala cuisine, they decided to recreate the magic of their roots. With a shared passion for cooking and hospitality, they set out to bring the vibrant flavors of Kottayam’s fiery curries and Kuttanadu’s coconut-rich delicacies to Australian shores.

In 2024, Tharavadu Indian Restaurant was born.
